New free software to download - a download manager
That's right, another happy production from our freeware factory!

Now it's time to release a new - and free - download manager, to manage all your Internet downloads. You just drag and drop the links from a web browser to it's window, and can stop and resume downloads at will.

You can read the full details about it at our freeware blog. And, of course, don't forget to leave your comments and suggestions about it !

'Web Downloader' NEW freeware - 0.1.0.1
That's right, another happy production from our freeware factory!

This one can manage all your Internet downloads. You just drag and drop the links from a web browser to it's window, and then select how fast, how many simultaneous downloads, were to save files to, change file names, etc.

Has the ability to stop and resume downloads at will.

Window can also be resized to a very small space, with the option to stay on top of all other windows, for easier work. Makes good use of threads for extra speed and usefulness.

This is brand new software, so be gentle with it... It downloads well, fast and safely, as far as I could test it, but still may need some polishing. Anyway, it is Free!

As always, this is and will be freeware and can be downloaded from our freeware page. Keep sending your suggestions, questions and donations, ok?

Our freeware shown at TV show !!
That's right, thanks to one of our dear users, Parker Donham, that cared to email us this info, 'File Renamer' has been shown and demonstrated during a Canadian TV show.

And I quote, "I downloaded 'renamer' after seeing Andy demonstrate it on Call For Help. This is going to be a very useful program for me." Thanks Parker for letting me know this; it's always good to know we have done something right. smile

The direct link to 'Call for Help' reference to our freeware is here, just in case you want to check.

And, of course, we have noticed an increase of people downloading on the past couple of days - there goes our bandwidth limit once again!

All freeware has been update
Thanks go to our user Decebal, once again, for alerting me to the fact that, in win XP, some windows could not be dragged around on the screen! It seems that XP (that I don't have..) changed more things than I knew about, this time with all the system menus having a few more options than previous versions of Windows !

As some of the software have had the system menus modified, removing a few options and adding a few other, it was removing the wrong ones when used under XP!

Anyway, if anyone has found this problem, as I am sure a lot of people have, please download the new versions that - hopefully - have this glitch solved.

'File renamer' freeware update - 1.1.1.0
Our 'File renamer' freeware has been updated to 1.1.1.0.

Thanks to Neil from Quark Services for his suggestions regarding the formatting of the dates for renaming and for donating a few $$ (always welcome) - thank you!

Also, user Decebal asked for a little change on 'rename to/from spaces' - also done!

And, last but not the least, thanks must also go to Stephen Beaumont for his donation and for appreciating our little utilities - thank you Stephen!

I guess this is being a good month, already 2 people have donated smile - don't take me wrong, the money is not so important - although it helps, of course; it's more the warm feeling of appreciation that comes with it and that makes it feel worth keeping upgrading those freewares !

Anyway, keep sending your suggestions, opinions, questions and I will keep improving those utilities, ok?

'File spliter' freeware update - 0.1.0.8
Well, this was fast - if I may say so myself ! And here it is, another update with 'custom' split file size, a progress bar (hum.. needs a bit more working...) and a few internal changes to speed it up a little more.

Again, many thanks to Nef Kho for his help and suggestions.

'File spliter' freeware update - 0.1.0.7
Our 'File spliter' freeware has been updated to 0.1.0.7.

Thanks to Nefrazaoui Kho for his help in debugging, it now not only shows the correct size for files above 2Gb... but actually is able to split them also wink

This was a problem with very large integer numbers that the (somewhat older) Delphi version I use for programming can't handle directly. So, I had to go around using TLargeInteger and.. well, I won't go further into too technical details!

This version also uses threads, so people won't notice the slowdown that was quite evident on previous versions; also, I didn't test it with files above 4Gb, as the OS I am using doesn't allow it.

As always, this is and will be freeware and can be downloaded from the freeware page. Keep sending your suggestions and I will try to keep improving those utilities in my (very scarce) free time, ok?
