'File renamer' freeware update - 1.1.3.9
And again, 'File renamer' freeware has been updated, to version 1.1.3.9.

This time, and after last full rewrite of the software, a 'bug' has shown it's face - but only in winXP... The software works perfectly in win95, 98, ME, NT and 2000, but it looks like Microsoft has changed more than a few things in winXP's API, so some routines fail to work on this OS !! angry

Luckily, our dear user Klaus Zimmermann came, once again, to our rescue, and with his help and assistance the problems were debugged - Thank you, Klaus!

Anyway, as always, all versions of this - and all other freeware - can be downloaded from our FREEware page. Keep using it, as they are free anyway, and keep sending your feedback to me, ok?

'Web Downloader' freeware update - 0.1.0.7
There is a new update to our 'Web Downloader' freeware, mostly thanks to one user sending us some feedback - first time we got feedback on this freeware, would you believe it!

Now we are sure some people is also using this one, so we will start improving it as it should. smile

So you see, send me your suggestions, comments, likes (or dislikes) - and some donations in between, always nice - and you will receive some freeware to do whatever you like with it, with - surely - some better 'after sales' service than a few commercial companies (I won't mention names) have wink

p.s: if I may say so myself ...

Software aproved by Softpedia
Softpedia has approved our software as being clean, that is, it contains no adware, spyware or virus.

This is nothing that we didn't already know ourselves, of course, but that's always good to have a third party certify our software. smile

You can check our most used one - 'File renamer' - directly at File-Renamer-Clean-9910, if you like, and all the rest here.

'File renamer' freeware update - 1.1.3.6
And once again, 'File renamer' has been updated to 1.1.3.6, with a few releases in between...

Bugs from the last rewrite have been solved (with the help of a few users), scripts can bow be edited and re-used, and a couple of options are gone as they were not needed, as 'Convert ... to ...' option does it all (and some more).

Download the new versions of this - and many other utilities - from the usual freeware page, and keep sending your suggestions and comments. ok?

'File renamer' freeware update - 1.1.3.1
And then we have v1.1.3.1 - as the first obvious bug is found; nothing serious, but it had lost control of duplicated files added to the list, although it would remove them later when renaming... A bug, nevertheless wassat

Scripts can also be 'undone' now, as we have many 'undo' levels and that has taken care of this!

'File renamer' freeware update - 1.1.3.0
Our 'File renamer' freeware has been updated again, to version 1.1.3.0.

This is a bit of a major rewrite, incorporating some user's suggestions that I have been collecting for some time, as:

  • 'Infinite' Undos, not one level any more !
  • Sort list of files by file's date, name or type
  • Display of files has improved (I think..)
  • Better positioning of controls with different screen resolution and fonts (not so easy, as each user may have it differently...)
  • A few other details, like context menus, etc..
Corrected a couple of bugs - that nobody had ever complained about wink - and, hopefully, didn't introduce no new ones, but... it has been a long rewrite so, people, let me know if you find any, ok?

It is also a bit faster, and that's good because I also rename lots of files and was starting to have to wait too much for it to finish renaming!

And, as always, the new version can be downloaded from our freeware page. Keep sending your suggestions and I will try to keep improving those utilities in my (very scarce) free time, ok?

Thanks to all the people that donated !
A big 'thank you' goes to the people that cared to donate a few $$ on the last couple of months, including September, and that I am listing bellow:
  • Models and More
  • Arthur Mesure
  • Frank Verda
  • Lawrence Walker
  • Jesse Overturf
  • Richard Cochran (largest donation ever!)
  • Original Computer Guy
  • Albert Laurey
  • Craig Robbins
  • Robert Sage
  • Michael Gonsalves
  • Charles Janzer
  • G.V.D. Jr's C.& E.
  • Steve Lang
  • Kenneth Coco
Some also made some suggestions for the software, that really did improve it for everyone else!

And more than anything, it makes me feel motivated knowing people likes and uses my software and that it really is worth it developing those little utilities. And - I won't pretend it doesn't - these donations always help keep costs lower, of course.. smile
