'Web Downloader' freeware update - 1.0.4.0 (with Proxy)
'Web Downloader' has been updated to version 1.0.4.0.

It now has a new option to use an user configurable Proxy for downloads, thanks to the suggestion of our user Chris. It was previously using any default configuration that would be available on the machine in use - from Internet Explorer itself - but now the user can choose whatever Proxy he/she wants, making it much more flexible. You can find this option - and a few others - on the second page of 'preferences' window.

New downloads are available, as always, from our freeware page.

'File renamer' freeware update - 1.1.5.7
'File renamer' has been updated to version 1.1.5.7, giving it a new interface look.

Apart from the new look for the interface, also a few internal changes to optimize some routines, nothing much...

You can download this and a few other freeware utilities from our freeware page, as always.

Software aproved by QArchive.org
QArchive.org has just approved all our software as being fully clean, that is, it contains no adware, spyware, virus or trojans of any kind.

This is nothing that we didn't already knew ourselves, of course, but that's always good to have an independent third party - like the nice people at QArchive.org did - certifying all our software. smile

You can check certification reports at their site, directly at:

'Softwar Submit' - check at Softwar Submit AV Report.
'Stock Control' - check at Stock Control AV Report.

And, of course, all our other software and freeware has also been checked and approved by them, as you can see here.

Software aproved by QArchive.org
It's always good to have another external, independent entity check all our software for virus, adware, spyware and trojans, like did now the nice people from QArchive.org.

Already the well known Softpedia software archive had done it, as you can read here.

Nothing we didn't knew ourselves (that our software was safe) of course. smile If you would like to, click on Read more and check the individual reports on each of our software.

And a few more freeware site links
Those are a few more good freeware sites were you can find some good free software as an alternative - sometimes better - for comercial software smile

Best Software Downloads FindMySoft free software archive

Just go there and have a look... Our software is also listed with them, of course!

'Mini Calculator' freeware update - 1.0.3.3
'Mini Calculator' has also been updated to version 1.0.3.3.

For those that don't know this freeware, this is a small windows calculator, created a few years back. It is very unobtrusive, and has the basic functions, having also a 'paper strip' on the side from which you can save your calculations to a file. This update was not much, just some slight corrections and changes. Anyway, enjoy it, it is freeware! smile

'Web Downloader' freeware update - 1.0.3.4
And another update to 'Web Downloader', up to version 1.0.3.4.

This time, it really works with 'relative' paths, not just a default folder as last version had, as it really was not a satisfactory solution...

Now you can use real 'relative' paths, anywere on a portable device (or fixed device, for that matter) as long as they are located on the same disk - whatever it's letter may be, of course, or they wouldn't be 'relative', right? Check this new option on preferences, if you want the software to work like this. This is more helpful for portable devices, such as usb pens and drives, of course.

Thanks Chris for your help and suggestions.

'Web Downloader' freeware update - 1.0.3.2
And here we are again, with another update to 'Web Downloader', to version 1.0.3.2.

Thanks to a nice user that pointed to me the option of using this software from a usb pen drive - I had never though of this, but it is a good idea, as the software requires no installation, and can be used from anywhere. So there is a new option on preferences, to 'use a default save path' if you want to use this on any portable device. What this does is create a default 'downloads' folder just below the application's path, were every download will end up, being this also the default option now whenever this software is run for the first time.

Unfortunately, I have deleted this user's email by mistake and can't thank him personally for the suggestion. So, if you are reading this, just email me back, ok? Thank you for caring to send this very good suggestion to the software!

As always, the last version can be downloaded from our freeware site.
