And yet another update to
production and stocks control software, up to version 1.0.3.7.
On shared configurations the use of decimals and dates could be compromised if, for instance, the database was created with a date and/or decimal format and another user, on a different computer, was using a different default for he(r)'s Windows date and/or decimal format.
To prevent this, another extensive change has been made, now always saving the database on a 'neutral' format and, on loading data into the program, the default date and decimal format configured on the user's computer will be used, irrespective of any other user's format on a different computer that is sharing the database.
This is also valid if, for instance, the user decides to change Windows configuration in the middle of work, making the data in the database truly portable now among different computers.
This change was made following an alert from some users. The change took a full day to complete and test, keeping the standard of service that our users got used to by now.
