'Stock Control' software updated to v.1.0.3.6
Our Industrial production and stocks control software has been updated to version 1.0.3.6.

The main change on this update has been the introduction of extended use of decimal values everywhere instead of integer ones on some places. This means you can now have, for instance, a production of 123.851 article units instead of just 123 units, among other things. This is geared to companies that manufacture in weight units, for instance.

As this was a somewhat large change to the code, if you find any - unlikely - inconsistencies, don't hesitate in letting us know, ok?

'Web Downloader' freeware update - 1.0.8.1
And another update to 'Web Downloader' freeware, up to version 1.0.8.1.

The download rate has been changed from BPS to KBPS, as suggested by Bert van Velsen. Also, following his request, the 'blue hint' window that used to show whenever the user added a new item to download is now showing again. The problem it was causing before is now solved in a different way, so no worries after all smile

And, as always, this new version is available for download from the freeware webpage.

'File renamer' freeware update - 1.1.8.4
Just a quick update to 'File renamer' up to version 1.1.8.4.

The only change made was to use 'creation date' instead of 'last modified date', whenever possible, for sorting of files in Renamer's window list, as requested by John Wood.

'Web Downloader' freeware update - 1.0.8.0
'Web Downloader' was also updated to version 1.0.8.0.

This time a nasty bug was solved, thanks to Bert van Velsen for finding it and help on debugging! Whenever the 'Auto-reset downloads' option was selected on preferences together with 'Start downloads immediately', the program wouldn't find a new name for the file about to be downloaded and, if a file with the same name already existed on disk, it would overwrite it !! Not nice.. sad

Also, when first called from the browser's context menu and option 'Show hint on adding' was also selected, the program wouldn't minimize even when the option to minimize was selected - this one was simply solved by disabling 'hints' when being called from the context menu, as a minimized window shouldn't show hints on screen anyway.

Well, and this software is getting better and better, always with the help of users that do care to send feedback - thank you to you all smile

'Stock Control' software updated to v.1.0.3.4
Our Industrial production and stocks control software has been updated to version 1.0.3.4.

A few more improvements and small bugs corrected, some thanks to a few users that sent requests and suggestions to make this software better for everyone.

The help file has also been changed from the old windows HLP format to the newer CHM (html help) format that Windows now uses, has this is the only format running on Windows Vista - so I was told.

As always, if you have questions, suggestions or doubts, just contact us or leave a note at our support blog and our technical support people will do the best to assist you in any way they possible can.

'Web Downloader' freeware update - 1.0.7.9
'Web Downloader' was also updated to version 1.0.7.9.

The command line - when being called from a IE browser - was not working correctly when a 'non valid' file or link was being added. It has been corrected - at least I hope it was wassat - but it is also depending on user's OS and browser so it's not so easy to test fully, unfortunately. Just hope more users send feedback - like our old time user Bert van Velsen did - to help us debug this thing! So, thank you Bert.

Also, a few more options were added to preferences, like the 'Exit on downloads finished' and 'overwrite existing files'. This later one is for times when you have to download a file repeatedly and want to replace it without renaming, but must be used very carefully as it will effectively overwrite any file with same filename already on your disk!! This was, nevertheless, a fine suggestion from Helge Philipp that needs this for server use.

And - you guessed it - this new version is also available for download from our freeware webpage.

'File renamer' freeware update - 1.1.8.3
'File renamer' freeware has been updated to version 1.1.8.3.

A few things were improved, and the 'change file extension' has been updated so that it will now respect the upper / lower case the user wants to use - it was causing trouble when, for instance, you wanted to upload files to a Linux server and the case was wrong sad

The 'add file date / time to ... of filename' has also been changed, replacing the brackets chars to underscore ones, for the same reason.

New version of 'File Renamer' is now available from the freeware page.

And yet a few more updates to the freeware ...
FREEware
And here are a few more updates, to the freeware:

'File renamer' up to version 1.1.8.1 with a few improvements, like saving spaces in renaming strings between uses. Previously it was striping all spaces - all people that noticed this know what I mean... wink of course, thanks are in order - again - to our good user Klaus for all his help with debuging and suggestions troughout all the years.

'Wav player', up to version 1.1.1.4, with a few corrections to the command line - if files were inside the same folder and no path was defined, or if the file didn't exist, it would show an internal error and hang! sad Thanks to Michael Marquart for noticing this.

'Watch', up to version 1.1.3.5, with a few changes to it's source. This one got me perplexed has the program was showing different names in Windows' task manager (and even no name at all) depending on the actions taken during it's use... This one was spotted by Erik den Houter and was kind of hard to solve but.. now it's showing it's correct name all the time - 'Relogio', the portuguese word for clock.

'Watch (with skins)', up to version 1.1.3.6, also thanks to Erik den Houter that requested a few changes - this particular freeware was kind of abandoned as noone was caring to send suggestions but now has restarted active development and that's good smile. It has been added with a way to choose a WAV file as alternative to the alarm beep, and the program now also checks for correct installation of 'skins' folder - and reinstalls it by itself if the user didn't extract files correctly - correctly may be too strong a word as it was not so evident how it should be done, as Erik as so well noticed - so thank you again Erik for caring to email me.

Well, and I guess that's all for today. As always, all freeware mentioned above - and a lot more - may be downloaded freely from the FREEware page. And don't hesitate in emailing all your requests and suggestions, as in the end all will be added to the freeware. smile

'Stock Control' software - distribution license
Our Industrial production and stocks control software has had it's distribution license changed from 'commercial' software to 'donation-ware'.

This has in no way reduced it's quality and continuous active development, just means you can get the full version for a significative reduced cost.

This has turned it into free software, really, although we request a small donation be made in order for us to send you a license for the full version. This is just to compensate development costs and keep programmers happy. wink

So go now to our webpage and check the good news !
